Curriculum

The Teach Me Mommy book by Jill Dunford lays out a framework for classroom organization including, the activity, the books that need to be read, a suggested snack and an art/craft project. She does a wonderful job aligning the lessons by day as they coincide with seasons and holidays. The main curriculum and or lessons will come from these pages and are assigned on our calendar. We will also include a daily welcome that includes directions on how to open your class time. We will always open with a welcome song, writing of their name, date, color of the week, letter of the week and number of the week. This gives parents a chance to focus outside of class on activities and things that will coincide with the class lessons. Field trips will be added as they are scheduled and are focused on our community and environment around us. These opportunities may or may not fall on a class day and are optional for the students.
